Deccan Chargers (DC) player Chris Lynn is happy that his team won an Indian Premier League (IPL) match after a long time.
“It was a long time coming. We’ve played really good cricket in the last few weeks. It’s just one or two moments in the game where we haven’t executed and that has cost us games. That sums up our season.”
He also believes that the bowlers bowled well in the match, which set up the victory.
“Our bowlers bowled really well. Dale (Steyn) bowled really well up front, and then, Amit Mishra came in and took a couple of key wickets, which we really needed,” he said.
Lynn also confessed that he was extremely nervous on his Indian Premier League debut.
“I was really nervous, to tell you the truth. You try and prepare for it like you are playing every game. It was good to have a run around with the boys, but more importantly, it’s good to have a win,” Lynn was quoted saying to iplt20.com.
Talking about spoiling chances of various IPL teams to make it to the playoffs at the end of the tournament, the Australian says that every team is trying to win.
“We’re just trying to play the best cricket we can. Obviously, the opportunity is going to come up next year and players are looking to perform. But in saying that, we’re going to play as a team. If we can win, we can win. It’s a game and we are just trying to enjoy it,” he concluded.
