The spotlight can now move off Aamir Khan to Nagpur, where the national side is playing South Africa in the third Test of the series. The second Test at Bangalore lasted only a day thanks to unseasonal rains, which too was partly blamed towards the Modi government by Arvind Kejriwal. As we know Keriwal is a man who overflows with logic, his reason was, “Modi ji runs his government on hard line capitalism. He is lenient towards industrialists and sucks the blood of farmers, which has led to global warming and hence unseasonal rains. If farmers continue to sow more vegetation, global warming could be solved. But not under Modi regime!”

Well, if that made any sense, there’s more to come. Kejriwal came down hard on Narendra Modi again as Virat Kohli announced the team for third Test. Stuart Binny and Varun Aaron, the two Christians in the playing XI were dropped for Amit Mishra and Rohit Sharma, both from the elite Hindu caste. Aaron happens to be from the lower-caste.

This has shocked Kejriwal again, who was heard screaming at the party office, “Christians and Dalits have no right to play in Modi government? Stuart Binny was just given 3 overs. If Modi ji asks that he shouldn’t be judged based on his 18 months, then how can you be so judgemental towards Binny and Aaron? Do minorities have no rights to even play cricket? This will not be allowed for the fourth match in Delhi and if required I will convince Anna Hazare ji once again to start a hunger strike and this time at Kotla.”

However, a few minutes later, Kejriwal’s friend, Ashutosh who was once a journalist and occasionally covered cricket matches informed him that Modi had no role in team selection and only the captain was responsible for team selection and Virat Kohli is from Delhi. Kejriwal immediately excused himself from the spot and wasn’t available for any further comments.
