Dave Renneberg, the former Australian fast bowler, who last played a Test match against the Mansur Ali Khan Pataudi-led Indian side in 1968, is sitting in a bar and having a drink with friends. The group is suddenly joined by a Chinese known to one of the men in the group.
As the group is few pegs down, Renneberg suddenly slaps the Chinese.
The Chinese is livid.
Chinese: Why did you slap me?
Renneberg: Because you bombed Pearl Harbor! I lost a close family member in that bombing.
Chinese: But I am Chinese, not Japanese.
Renneberg: You fool, Chinese, Japanese, Vietnamese, Taiwanese, you are all the same.
The Chinese flies into a rage on hearing that and punches Renneberg.
Renneberg: Why did you punch me?
Chinese: For sinking the Titanic.
Renneberg: But Titanic was sunk by an iceberg, stupid!
