Why BCCI turned down the generous sponsorship offer from Richard Branson’s airline company

Billionaire Sir Richard Branson’s Virgin Airlines offered to sponsor the Indian cricket team to the tune of multi-million pounds. The Board of Control for Cricket in India were tempted by the generous offer made by Branson’s company. However, they turned down the offer.

An insider of the BCCI revealed the reasons: “We can’t have Virgin written on the shirts of our players when we’re getting screwed in every match! For the first time in recent years, the cricketing fans will finally agree with some sensible the BCCI has done!
