It was the kind of occurrence that would have the numerologists going into hyperactivity. This was a moment in the Cape Town Test between South Africa and Australia in 2011. At 11:11 hours on the 11th day of the 11th month of the 11th year [2011], South Africa were 125 for one, needed 111 more runs to win the Test!

And the electronic scoreboard on the ground (above) captured the moment.  The figure 111 is known as Nelson in cricket and is considered inauspicious by some.
