There is something special and endearing about Chris Gayle — and the reference is not to his charisma or his awesome cricketing skills. Gayle is like an open book. The degree of his candidness and the regularity with which he goes public with his candid statements remain almost unmatched among celebrities.
A lot of cricketers lead very colourful life off the field, but they go great lengths to do whatever they want to away from the public or media glare; but not Gayle. He loves the good things of life and is very open about it — in words and visuals. On one occasion, after a night of revelry, he tweeted: “Now it’s the after party after party. #Sex. “But that’s none of your business. Over and out! Bye.”
Whatever you may say about his candidness, he is not a hypocrite for sure. He is what he is and makes no bone about it or makes apologies about it either. What a man!
