To an Australian cricketer, it’s never an easy feeling to leave the arena with an Ashes loss but Chris Rogers still managed to leave on a high as he won the Player of the series for the tournament. Though Australia lost the series 3-2, Rogers bat did the talking as he amassed 480 runs at 60.

Rogers, who retired after The Oval Test win on Sunday, was one of Australia’s most consistent batsmen in the recent times. Making his debut at the age of 30 in 2008 Perth Test against India, Rogers played in 25 Tests, scoring 2015 runs at 42.87.

Cricket world through Twitter congratulated the 37-year-old left-hander for a successful career at the top level.
