The epic final between two big teams of Big Bash League brought an exciting nerve breaking match. Both teams played with many international players, which include the likes of Mike Hussey, David Hussey, Kevin Pietersen, Usman Khawaja, Jacques Kallis, etc.
This was the last game of Mike Hussey, as he is retiring from all forms of cricket. Batting first, Melbourne Stars began well with some firework from Pietersen, who scored 79 of just 39 balls. They set the target of 177, which Sydney Thunders chased down quite convincingly with three wickets and three balls to spare. Both the teams were playing in final for the first time and probably for the first ever time when two brothers met in the final of a tournament as a captain. As Sydney Thunders won the fifth Big Bash League tournament, we present you the congratulatory tweets from cricket world.
