Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) skipper Gautam Gambhir does not share a cordial relationship with Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) skipper Virat Kohli. Both may deny it, but it is a fact for everyone to see. Few years back during an Indian Premier League (IPL) match between their sides, the two were involved in a heated argument on field and had to be separated otherwise a physical fight might have happened. In fact, a few months prior to that Kohli had replaced Gambhir as the vice-captain of the national side.
This year, during their fixture at Bengaluru, KKR made a comeback from behind to beat RCB from a precarious situation. A pumped up Gambhir did not hide his emotions during the match and apparently kicked the chair and hurled a few abuses even as Yusuf Pathan was hitting the winning blows. And now, he might have hinted at the animosity between the two with his latest tweet. READ MORE: 12 major controversies in the history of the Indian Premier League
On Sunday, as David Warner-led Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) beat RCB to lift the IPL 9 title, Gambhir took to Twitter to congratulate Warner and his team and at the same time took a possible dig at Kohli. He wrote: “Congratulations @SunRisers on winning @IPL Nice guys DO finish first. Well done. Bowler win u cricket matches be it any format @BCCI”, with emphasis on a bold ‘DO’.

Now whether or not Gambhir is taking a dig at Kohli, only he can tell. But prima facie it appears that he did take a pot shot at the Indian Test captain.
