English scribe Piers Morgan blasts India’s performance at Olympics; gets bashed by Virender Sehwag, other trolls

A lot had been said and published about India’s performance at Rio Olympics by global media. The perennial cribbers Pakistan, who always play the dutiful role of an envious neighbour,criticised India’s two medals at the games. This, coming from a country which has failed to win a single medal at the international event in last 20 years, was clearly a case of grapes being sour. Never mind, the Pakistani media got a befitting reply by Indian Twitter trolls, celebs, politicians and other active netizens. Now, taking a leaf out of Pakistan’s books, English journalist Piers Morgan, who has a sizeable base on social media site Twitter, blasted India’s performance at the event and even called the celebration over PV Sindhu and Sakshi Malik’s success embarrassing. His completely uncalled for tweet earned him some solid bashing at the hands of Indian Twitter trolls, who taught the scribe an apt lesson. While some reminded him of England’s poor record at cricket world cups, others showed him the mirror on his country’s poor football record despite being the home for biggest football league.  

However, the biggest stick he got was from former Indian cricketer and a Twitter legend these days, Virender Sehwag. Viru pa took to his Twitter handle to take on the ‘loser’ journo from England. He wrote:  

 

However, Sehwag was not the first celeb to take on him, as media personality Suhel Seth and famous writer Chetan Bhagat too responded to his tweet.

It did not end there, Morgan went on to add how important he was by mentioning Sachin Tendulkar followed him and gave out reasons for England’s debacle. However, Shane Warne also got into the act and tweeted.
