ICC Cricket World Cup 2015: Eoin Morgan hits back at Geoffrey Boycott’s criticism

Eoin Morgan has hit back at former England cricketer Geoffrey Boycott’s sharp criticism of him and the England team.

England skipper Eoin Morgan has hit back at former England cricketer Geoffrey Boycott’s sharp criticism of him and the England team for the side’s 111-run loss to Australia in their first game of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015.

Boycott described England’s loss “bloody stupid” and “brainless”. Morgan was dismissed for his fourth duck in his last seven One-Day International (ODI) innings.

On asked about Boycott’s criticism, Morgan as reported by Mid-Day said, “Geoffrey tends to be critical 24/7, and I actually don’t know if people … well, certainly people within the team, it falls on deaf ears.”
