Popular Indian cricketer Rohit Sharma got married to his long time girlfriend Ritika Sajdeh on December 13, Sunday at a posh Bandra hotel in Mumbai. He became the latest Indian cricketer to get hitched this year after Suresh Raina, Harbhajan Singh and Dinesh Karthik. Rohit wore a traditional outfit by Raghavendra Rathore for the wedding and will be styled by Troy Costa for the reception, scheduled for December 14, which is to be hosted by Ritika’s family at Taj Lands End. Amongst the prominent names from the cricketing fraternity who attended the gala event were Sachin Tendulkar with wife Anjali Tendulkar, teammates Harbhajan Singh, Yuvraj Singh, Suresh Raina and Umesh Yadav. Earlier, on Friday, the Ambani couple had hosted a grand reception for their franchise’s stars Harbhajan and Rohit at their residence, Antilia. Some of the notable faces to grace that party were Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan, Abhishek Bachchan and wife Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, diva Sushmita Sen, India’s limited-overs captain MS Dhoni with wife Sakshi and daughter Ziva and Indian Test captain Virat Kohli. Rohit and Ritika got engaged earlier this year during the Indian Premier League (IPL) season in a private ceremony attended by close friends and relatives. Ritika is a sports manager and handles Rohit’s engagements.
