Indian captain Virat Kohli, after the loss at Edgbaston, has hinted that the India didn’t play to their potential, but despite that, managed to stay close in the game. While England did register a 31-run win, India, especially, Kohli ran England close in the series opener.
Kohli was by far the best player for India, and probably the match, scoring 200 runs in two innings – making his effort the second best by an Indian captain in England. But, try telling that these the jubilant fans below:
A Handful of fans in what seems the Edgbaston premises are seen chanting ‘Where is your Kohli gone’ in front of the a bus, that presumably could be of the Indian leaving from the ground to the hotel.
Earlier in the day, India’s hopes of recording their maiden Test victory at Edgbaston went up in smokes as they lost their last five wickets for the addition of 62 runs on Day 4 against England to concede a 0-1 lead to the hosts in the five-match series.
