The first Twenty20 of the two-match series between India and West Indies will be played on Saturday at Lauderhill in Florida. After emerging victorious in the Test series, it’s time for team India to seek revenge for the World T20 semi-final loss against West Indies earlier this year. West Indies are the champions of this format and have claimed the title twice in their T20 chronicle.
Both the side have match-winning players in their line up, some who can change the course of the game single-handedly. India will bank on Virat Kohli, MS Dhoni, KL Rahul and Rohit Sharma to deliver while West Indies will bank on Chris Gayle, Andre Russell, Lendl Simons, Kieron Pollard and Sunil Narine to bail them out.
Carlos Brathwaite has been appointed as their T20 skipper while Darren Sammy fails to find a spot in the line-up. India on the other hand, will be led by MS Dhoni. India will play their first game in the United States, this being the 19th nation where they will play an international match. Expect a run-fest when these two teams lock horns at Florida as the city is all set to witness some high-voltage action. The match starts at 7.30 pm India time and the streaming is available in the Star Sports and Hotstar website. Click here to see.
