Cometh the hour, cometh the man! Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) skipper David Warner almost single-handedly took his side into their maiden Indian Premier League (IPL) final on Friday when they beat Gujarat Lions (GL) in qualifier 2. Even as the SRH batting collapsed in the all-important game, Warner kept going in pursuit of 162 and with an unlikely partner in Bipul Sharma, the Australian crossed the victory line for his side.

His 93 not out of 58 balls proved to be the difference between the two sides in the end as SRH overcame the target in the final over. The highlight of SRH skipper’s innings was the fact that even as the big guns Shikhar Dhawan and Yuvraj Singh failed, he never let the match slip from his side’s grip and stayed till the end. With this knock, Warner took the tally of his fifties this IPL to eight and total runs tally to 779, second only to Virat Kohli’s 919.

His knock not just earned him the Man-of-the-Match award, but also accolades from all quarters. The cricket fraternity came together on Twitter to hail him and here we bring to you some selected tweets. Check out:
