The Plunket Shield match between Auckland and Wellington at Basin Reserve saw all the three Cachopa brothers take the field for the Auckland side. Their last name resembles ‘catch’ and the brothers – Carl, Craig and Brad, all born in South Africa, caught nine among them in the match’s first innings!

The match that began on December 14 saw Wellington bat first. Carl, Craig and Brad caught nine catches among them and this forms a bizarre scoreboard with Cachopa’s ruling it.
