He has modelled his action on legendary Shane Warne and he did no harm to his reputation when he became the second cricketer in Indian Premier League (IPL) history to claim a six-for in an innings. Sohail Tanvir was the first bowler to claim six wickets in a match and that was way back in the first edition, in 2008. Adam Zampa bowled four overs, gave away only 19 runs and picked up six wickets for the struggling Rising Pune Supergiants, against a strong Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) side at Visakhapatnam. Not long back, Zampa was cooling his heels in the dugout, looking for a chance to play in the cash-rich league. Shamsi’s wicket celebrations are no good

Shamsi, representing Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) was not happy and retorted:
1/2 Pretty disappointed 2 see someone who doesn’t even know me at all n wasnt even involved in that game making comments about me…
— Tabraiz Shamsi (@shamsi90) May 8, 2016
2/2 ….and I think Adam Zampa shud focus a little bit more on himself and ALOT LESS on me and my celebrations #StartThatBus
— Tabraiz Shamsi (@shamsi90) May 8, 2016
Australian coach Darren Lehmann had jumped to Zampa’s defence, while Shamsi’s RCB teammate Kane Richardson seemed to be enjoying the debate.
Just watch the shamsi carry – on , concentrate on bowling mate. Win games and then everyone will respect you #RCBvSRH #warner 92 and win ?

Early in the tournament, since Zampa was not playing in the XI, Shamsi had advised Zampa to “focus more” on himself rather than Shamsi’s celebrations. Richardson, at his humorous best, was quick to tweet, following that. Of course, all was in good humour:
I think @zamps63 was focused on himself tonight.
