Tinsel town stars are often seen cheering for their national cricket team from the stands during the matches. But many cricketers go beyond the boundary and do support different games apart from cricket. During an Australian Football League match between Richmond Tigers and Gold Coast Suns at the Melbourne Cricket Ground (MCG), Bollywood actress Sonam Kapoor was spotted handing a ball to the umpire.
Richmond Tigers expressed their glee and posted a picture of Sonam and also tweeted from their official account which read, “Was a pleasure hosting Bollywood royalty @sonamakapoor at our home ground, the @MCG, this afternoon #GoTigers”
The MCG is an iconic and of the most beautiful grounds in the world. It may come as a surprise to many but MCG being a cricket ground also hosts football matches. The recently concluded World Cup final was also hosted at the MCG.
