Team India’s head coach Anil Kumble is a legend of the game and one of the most likeable personalities. Not only his team-mates, but also his opponents liked and respected him and forged friendships with the spinner. In his playing years, he played a lot against West Indies and their former captain Courtney Walsh and the two have a lot of admiration for each other. With the team travelling to the Caribbean for a four-Test series, it was a good opportunity for the two legends to meet up. Kumble and Walsh caught up for dinner at a restaurant and quite interestingly had Indian cuisine. The former Indian captain shared the image from their meeting through his official Twitter handle with the caption reading: “It was great to catch up with @CuddyWalsh over dinner. Top man! #legend”

Going by the image, it was apparent that the two had Indian food for dinner, as ‘naans’ and ‘curry’ were visible on the table. Walsh was quick to acknowledge Kumble’s kind gesture and he too tweeted from his social media account, saying he might have to hit the gym after eating Indian food:
@anilkumble1074 great choice of food I did enjoy will have to hit the gym soon

@anilkumble1074 it was great to catch up mate… Hoping for a great test series ahead with some more West Indian and Indian curries.

Walsh owns a restaurant in Jamica which is named ‘Cuddyz’. However, it is not clear whether the two met up at his restaurant or not. Here’s a quick trivia! Both Kumble and Walsh played same number of Tests (132) in their career.
The Indian team will take on hosts West Indies in the first Test in Antigua from July 21.
