The anticipation level for the biopic based on India’s shorter format skipper, MS Dhoni, has reached newer heights with the releasing dates coming closer. The level of excitement for ‘MS Dhoni: The Untold Story’ has taken a new mode and another rumour has struck the town. The latest one being MS Dhoni being paid a mammoth amount of Rs 40 crore for rights to his life story. The director of the film, Neeraj Pandey was quoted in a report from TOI saying, no studio would be willing to cough up so much money just for rights to a cricketer’s life story.
Neeraj was also asked about the money they had to pay for the footage where Dhoni smashed a six to claim the 2011 World Cup or Dhoni’s manager Arun Pandey’s stake in the film. Neeraj opted to not comment and said that he is not empowered to open up on such issues. He also revealed that Dhoni was not feeling comfortable in promoting his own movie. The movie is set to hit the theatres by the end of this month and looks promising. The teaser got a massive response from the fans and many people are certainly looking forward to it.
