India won the Antigua Test quite comfortably and in Kingston, when it seemed India were cruising, West Indian middle-order showed stubbornness and managed to save the Test. So far, we have witnessed some stellar show by the Indian cricketers and that will lead to some selection worries ahead of the third Test at Gros Islet in St Lucia.
Southpaw Shikhar Dhawan scored a fine 84 at Antigua while Murali Vijay, who missed the second Test at Kingston, is India’s preferred opener. KL Rahul, who came in for Vijay in the second Test, struck a fine hundred. And No. 3 batsman Cheteshwar Pujara has looked scratchy and his place looks to be in jeopardy. However, he too has been among the mainstays in recent years. Now there are some selection worries for sure and only three of them can make it for the next Test. Keeping the worries aside, the “best buddies” as Pujara has termed the group, had “fun” during their dinner on Friendship Day.

The third Test starts on Tuesday. While India will look forward to continue their dominance, West Indies will take inspiration from their fight in the second Test and look to make a comeback.
