Sean Abbott is set to return in the Sheffield Shield tie between New South Wales (NSW) and Queensland at the Sydney Cricket Ground (SCG). He was named in the 12-man New South Wales squad.

Ever since Abbott’s short ball hit Phil Hughes leading to his death, Abbott has received immense support from people around the world.

Cricket Australia (CA) chief James Sutherland praised Abbott and was impressed by his maturity. Moises Henriques, who will lead the NSW side, admitted the emotional struggle of the players, including himself.

“I started yelling out all sorts of stuff for no particular reason, obviously just high on emotion,” Henriques was quoted as saying by Sky Sports Radio.

“A few more games and hopefully I’ll get back to some sort of level path. I was yelling at myself. I turned around basically and (was) trudging back to my mark yelling at myself.”
