Shah Rukh Khan consoles distraught KKR cheerleaders after team’s defeat against SRH in IPL 2016

Kolkata Knight Riders (KKR) crashed out of the season 9 of Indian Premier League (IPL) on Wednesday against the Sunrisers Hyderabad (SRH) in the eliminator. The defeat was difficult to accept for the die-hard fans of the two-time winner franchise, which was the title-favourite this time as well.

Just like all the fans and KKR players, there were others too who were disappointed with the loss. Team’s co-owner Shah Rukh Khan and the KKR cheerleaders were also a dejected lot. The pretty girls, who root for the team in all situations and weathers, were seen crying after team’s loss. Touched by their attachment to the franchise, Shah Rukh took to Twitter to console them.

Just before posting this tweet, he had expressed his disappointment as well. But the superstar also thanked the fans for being with the team and promised them that it will bounce back next year.

SRH will now face the Gujarat Lions (GL) in qualifier 2 on Friday and the winner of that match will go on to play the Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) in the final battle for the crown on Sunday.
