Not just a week has passed since the tragic death of young Bengal cricketer Ankit Keshri, who passed away following a collision while taking a catch, T Vamshi Krishna, a six-year old boy died while playing cricket when he was hit by a ball in the chest near his house in Sahara Estate in Vanasthalipuram, Hyderabad.
According to a report from IANS, the police said Vamshi was playing with other children in the neighbourhood on Thursday evening and was hit on the chest by a powerful shot.
Being hit on the chest, the six-year old boy immediately collapsed to the ground and was taken to a nearby hospital, where he succumbed to the injury while treatment.
Vamshi’s parents blamed a 14-year old, complaining to the police about his negligence that caused the invaluable loss.
In November 2014, the cricketing fraternity mourned after Australian cricketer Phil Hughes’s passed away, after being struck on the head by a bouncer bowled by Sean Abbott in a Sheffield Shield match.
