A hat-trick and a century in the same game is in the realms of fantasy for any cricketer. Sohag Gazi, however, made it a reality. He encrypted his name in gold in the history of cricket by becoming the first cricketer to bag a hat-trick and slam a century in the same Test. Gazi stunned the cricket world when he achieved this iconic feat in the 2013 Test at Chittagong during New Zealand’s tour of Bangladesh.

Then, in the second innings Gazi dismantled the New Zealand’s middle-order with hisoff-spin. He picked the crucial wickets of Corey Anderson, Bradley-John Watling and Doug Bracewell off three consecutive deliveries. Eventually, the match ended in a draw. Till today, his record has not been breached and will require an exceptional effort to do so.
