After losing four quick wickets on Day Two, JP Duminy was the last hope for South Africa along with AB de Villiers. But an amazing delivery from Umesh Yadav uprooted his off-stump on the last ball of the 31st over. This was the second wicket for Umesh Yadav in this match after Dean Elgar and also the 50th wicket of his Test career.
It’s the same ground where he made his debut in 2011 against West Indies and on the same venue he completed his 50 Test wickets. It was a good length delivery on off stump and instead of the ball angling into the left hander from around the wicket, it straightened. That movement caused Duminy to defend down the wrong line. The ball beat the outside edge and hit the top of off stump. Without a shred of doubt, that was a terrific delivery.
