Star Indian cricketer Ravindra Jadeja’s wedding to Rajkot girl Reeva Solanki has been the toast of the town for past few days. The all-rounder first hit the headlines when his father-in-law gifted him INR 1-crore Audi car just days before his marriage. On the eve of his wedding, the southpaw again was in the news for his sword-wielding skills. His wedding day too was not devoid of action. While Jadeja’s wedding procession was in full swing, one of his relatives fired celebratory gunshots while dangerously being close to the bride, groom and guests, thus spooking the horse and creating commotion for a while. A cool horse-rider that he is, Jadeja managed the situation well and calmed the horse down.

And now, since firing in the air even with a licensed weapon is illegal under Indian law, the Police have reportedly launched a probe into whether the gun shots were fired as part of a wedding procession. The following video captured during the ceremony by ANI shows at least one person firing several rounds using a revolver standing very close to Jadeja. Celebratory gun-fire in air during weddings is a common practice in many parts of the country and has caused several deaths over the years.
