World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) has fans of different age-groups across the world. One of those fans is England’s superstar all-rounder Ben Stokes. So when the WWE came calling to the United Kingdom (UK) with its flagship event Monday night RAW in London, Stokes could not help but attend it.
However, the momentous occasion became more special for the English all-rounder when he was given the welcome reserved for the ‘Special guests’. At the Newcastle event, Stokes walked to the ring to a rousing welcome with a video of his on-field heroics being played with background music on the giant screen at the venue. Recently, the video from that gala evening was shared by England cricket’s official Twitter handle:

During the event and on the days leading to it, Stokes spent some quality time with renowned WWE superstars Ryback, Dolph Ziggler and the Miz. He even played cricket with the Miz, who might have never played the game before.

A couple of months back, WWE had visited India for its New Delhi event. Former Indian opener Virender Sehwag had attended the event with his sons and had even spent time with superstars Ziggler, Kane and Charlotte. Seeing the superstars, who enjoy a huge fan-following, meet someone they adore makes for a great view.
