Sachin Tendulkar did not believe in outrageous celebrations, but lived in an era when new-age celebrations, particularly at the fall of wickets, took shape. From hi-fives to chicken dances to helicopter runs, cricketers have celebrated in all possible ways, often alone but sometimes with teammates. However, in this video, Kiran More took things to a different level. He kicked a young Tendulkar on the field immediately after the latter took a wicket. Further details are not available, but from the commentary we can make out that Tendulkar was bowling and the batsman hit the ball to Mohammad Azharuddin, who took a brilliant catch.
Imagine a contemporary cricketer kicking Virat Kohli while celebrating. Or perhaps MS Dhoni. The thought makes one shudder…
