No matter where they go, the Caribbean cricketers are the toast of the town. Dazzling with style, colour, flamboyance and high on entertainment quotient, these cricketers easily become the life of every party. Of them, two cricketers who stand apart are the ‘Universe Boss’ Chris Gayle and the ‘Champion’ Dwayne ‘DJ’ Bravo. Both these players enjoy tremendous popularity across the cricketing globe and share great camaraderie with players from opposition camps.
Especially India is one place where these two cricketers enjoy fame and recognition among masses like no other place. Both have been an integral part of their respective Indian Premier League (IPL) franchises and have played huge amount of cricket in India, establishing their identities as out-and-out entertainers among the masses with their antics. That is precisely why organisers of even a local league like Tamil Nadu Premier League (TNPL) invite them to promote the league and cash in on their star value.

Both Gayle and Bravo are in India now to promote the ongoing TNPL; an eight-team T20 tournament in Chennai. N Srinivasan, the former BCCI chief and a powerful figure in Indian cricket, is backing this league and it thus comes as no surprise that Bravo, who was a key member of Srinivasan’s franchise Chennai Super Kings (CSK), obliges him by making a visit to India. The two cricketers can be seen commentating during the matches and making promotional visits otherwise.
During one such visit to a local college, the two cricket superstars made grand entry to the campus. While ‘king’ Gayle came riding on a chariot driven by horses, ‘DJ’ Bravo could be seen singing his ‘Champion’ song and shaking a leg. Watch the videos here:
