Virat Kohli, Shikhar Dhawan and other cricketers welcome Anil Kumble as India’s head coach

Former India captain Anil Kumble was appointed as the head coach of the national side for a span of a solitary year on Thursday by the Board of Control for Cricket in Inida (BCCI). After a lot of fuss, the dust has finally been settled down as 57 applications were received for the said position. Kumble’s first task in hand will be to train the side for the Test series in the Caribbean.

On this occasion, Indian Test skipper Virat Kohli and other cricketers took to their Twitter handle to convey their wishes towards Kumble and further welcome him on board. Kohli has played alongside Kumble in the past for Royal Challengers Bangalore in the Indian Premier League (IPL). He tweeted saying, “Heartiest welcome to @anilkumble1074 Sir. Look forward to your tenure with us. Great things in store for Indian Cricket with you”
