Ace Indian shuttler Saina Nehwal cannot put a foot wrong at the moment. The 26-year old player first got herself on the plane to Rio, where she will be a part of the Indian contingent for the Olympics. More recently, she won the Australian Open Super Series title in Sydney by beating her Chinese counterpart Sun Yu. Without a doubt, she is having a purple patch. Well, talking about the purple patch, there is no better example than Virat Kohli to describe the term. India’s Test captain has had a fantastic year so far, where he scored seven fifty-plus scores in eight outings in Australia, then had a brilliant run in the Asia Cup T20 and ICC World T20 2016, and finally capped it off with a tremendous run in Indian Premier League (IPL) season nine. While Kohli’s on-field aggression has won him many fans, Saina too is one of them. ALSO READ: IPL 2016: Orange Cap holders in the history of the tournament.
This came to the fore recently when Kohli sent a congratulatory tweet to Saina through his official Twitter handle. The tweet read as:“Congratulations @NSaina So happy for you. Onwards and Upwards always #ProudIndian.”

Already impressed by his aggression, Saina could not have been happier with Kohli’s gesture. She immediately chose to respond to him with her tweet that read: “I would love to get more aggression like u for winning more matches. I m trying hard for that. Thank u so much.”

Well, Saina has put the shuttle back in Kohli’s court with her spontaneous tweet. Now whether or not Kohli accedes to her request and gives her some ‘aggression’ lessons is something we will have to play the waiting game for.
