Ace Indian spinner Ravichandran Ashwin’s 12 wickets in the Nagpur Test have scripted yet another Test match as well as series win for India. Riding on his 24 wickets from three matches so far, India have ended South Africa’s 9-year away winning streak in Test cricket.

After being awarded the Man-of-the-Match award for his superlative performance, the tall offie said that the batsmen go out to get hundreds while he goes out to take fifers every time he plays. His comments came during the post-match presentation ceremony.

Ashwin is having a wonderful year. With 55 wickets in eight Tests, he is the leading wicket-taker in Test cricket in 2015.  He was the highest wicket taker against Sri Lanka earlier this year with 21 wickets in three Tests, when his effort helped India win the series in the island country after 22 years.

It is not just Test cricket where Ashwin is making waves. He was earlier ruled out from the One-Day International (ODI) series agaisnt South Africa after suffering a side strain during the first ODI. His injury proved to be a huge setback for India as they lost the closely-fought series 2-3.
