Cricket All-Stars Twenty20 has taken the cricket world by a storm with hoards of fans across the North America flocking at the United States to cheer for the yesteryear legends as they take on each other. So far, the Shane Warne-led Warne Warriors have enjoyed the upper hand by a large margin and much of the credit for that goes to Sri Lankan legend Kumar Sangakkara.

Sangakkara, who scored 41 at New York, continued his dominance with the bat and smacked a 30-ball 70 at Houston helping the Warriors to 262 from their stipulated 20 overs. The commentators couldn’t help discussing Sangakkara’s bat and it’s blade. VVS Laxman, who played the first match for Sachin’s Blasters, revealed that the bat actually belonged to Warne. Sangakkara happened to pick up the bat at the practice and fell in love with it and it’s believed the southpaw will keep it with him.

Sangakkara’s 70 from 30-balls contained six boundaries and six sixes, and he was severe against all the bowlers. Sangakkara retired from international cricket in August but is still in a brilliant nick. It’s great news for the franchises he is still a part of. Read more on Cricket All-Stars
