Switzerland take on Ecuador in the FIFA World Cup 2014 Group E match at Brasilia on June 15. With half of the 32-team tournament already playing, it is time for the rest of the teams to take the field. Group E also has the likes of Honduras and FIFA World Cup 1998 winners France. With France already considered favourites to top the group, the rest have their task cut out before it even begins.
A total of 28 goals have already been scored in the first eight matches played. That means an average of 3.5 goals per match. If the Switzerland-Ecuador match can live up to those numbers, then the fans are in for a treat. Despite not having some of the biggest names in the game, both the teams have players who can cause trouble to the opposition.

After the conclusion of this match, France play Honduras at Porto Alegre. The FIFA World Cup 2014 will run for a month as the final is on July 13 in Rio de Janeiro. A total of 32 teams will participate in the tournament. There will be eight groups [Group A to Group H] with four teams each. All the teams will play three matches each in the group stage.
A win is worth three points, while a draw will gain one point and a loss means no points will be added. The top two teams will qualify for the Round of 16s. From there the winners will progress to the quarter-finals, then the semi-finals and the last two victorious teams will play in the final.
