Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live cricket blog of the Match 16 of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) 2016 between Barbados Trident (BT) and Trinbago Knight Riders (TKR) at Kensington Oval, Bridgetown, Barbados. The Barbados Trident are currently placed at No. 3 spot of the table while Trinbago Knight Riders are closely following them at NO. 4. In their last match, BT faced St Kitts and Nevis Patriots and bagged a win. On the other hand, the Trinbago Knight Riders, in their last match, were up against the Guyana Amazon Warriors which they won. Coming from individual victories, the teams will be confident to face each other.

Despite losing a couple of wickets, TKR manage to knock of the runs with 14 balls remaining. Colin Munro top-scored for TKR with a 39-ball 68. Barbados on the other hand need to get a couple of wickets here, if they are to have any chance of winning the match from here.

Perkins and Amla are looking positive in the middle and will look to establish a good opening combination and set the platform for the rest of the batsmen to follow.
Live Cricket Score, Barbados Tridents 172/4 in 20 overs, BATTING: Kieron Pollard 41 (20), Wayne Parnell 3 (3): Another two wickets down and TKR were successful in restricting BT time to time and disallowing de Villiers as well Malik to achieve fifty mark. As for Pollard he misses out the chance as well and remains unbeaten at 41. BT put up competitive target on board with 172 and setting target of 173 for TKR. Can TKR win this and reach the third spot in points table? We will have to wait and see.

Both quick fire batsmen have managed to put up decent score on board. TKR skipper Bravo got his wicket finally and must be happy man. Meanwhile, de Villiers is approaching his fifty to put his team in better position. Malik missed the opportunity to score fifty for his side.

De Villiers and Shoaib Malik will look to build some good runs on board. De Villiers has already begun his show with boundaries while Malik is continuing his game on field. TKR skipper Dwayne Bravo is trying hard to curb the runs but looks like extras are flowing. Kevon Cooper comes back into attack. De Villiers does not bother and goes instantly for boundary. And 13 runs from that over for BT.

Joining him along is partner Shoaib Malik. BT are placed in safe position with regards to points table and this could be the moment for them to change fortunes are move No.2 if they win. Trinbago Knight Riders have achieved their first wicket with Steven Taylor gone and West Indies pacer Sulieman Benn getting his first. That provides entry to AB de Villiers.

TOSS: Trinbago Knight Riders wins the toss, elects to field first
It was AB de Villiers in the last match who led the BT batting from the front. The top-order collapsed soon but de Villiers, coming out at No. 4, scored a 54-ball 82. The team score reached 180, chasing which, St Kitts could make only 155. Their skipper Faf du Plessis scored 42 and Jonathan Carter added 46 but the combined bowling attack of BT helped the team achieve a 25-run win.
TKR snatched a close victory in their last match. Only Hashim Amla stood out with his 64 among the otherwise ordinary batting that took the score to 151. But Guyana failed to chase the par score as the only player who added some mentionable runs with his 50 and lost to TKR by 7 runs.
