THAT’S IT!!! Scotland win by six wickets and they have also won the series 2-0. The visitors have played extremely good cricket during the tour and have proved themselves as a competitive side in the associates. Matthew Cross and PReston Mommsen played the winning kncok as it became a comfortable sail for the Scots despite some good show by the ball from the Irish.

That’s all for this time, and it has been an absolute pleasure to bring you the updates. Until next time, it’s good-bye from myself Ayush Gupta here, and don’t forget to read my match report here.

LIVE CRICKET SCORE: Scotland 136/4 | Overs 15

BATSMEN: Richie Berrington 11 (9), Preston Mommsen 26 (16)

Michael Leask departs for mere 13 in the 12th over after being bowled by Dockrell. He seems to be in a real good form and has already claimed three for 15. Preston Mommsen is the new man in and seems to be batting quite well as Scotland are just 31 short of the target.

OUT! Michael Leask b Dockrell 13 (11)

LIVE CRICKET SCORE: Scotland 89/3 | Overs 10

BATSMEN: Michel Leask 3 (5), Richie Berrington 2 (1)

THREE DOWN!!! So a couple of more wickets in the next five overs has raised a faint hope for Ireland to strike back in this game. However, the scorecard tells a different story. Kyle Coetzer is stumped for a healthy 34 off Dockrell, while Matthew Cross, who was going strong as well too is dismissed for a healthy 48 by the same man. Michael Leask and Richie Berrington are the new men in.

OUT! Kyle Coetzer st S Poynter b Dockrell 34 (22), Matthew Cross st S Poynter b Dockrell 48 (30)

LIVE CRICKET SCORE: Scotland 46/1 | Overs 5

BATSMEN: Matthew Cross 30 (16), Kyle Coetzer 14 (12)

A shaky start, but never the less, Scotland seem to have recovered well as Matthew Cross seems to be in a good form and has brought Scotland near to 50 in just five overs. Kyle Coetzer too seems to be batting calmly. Gorger Musnsey was dismissed for an unfortunate duck in the first over by Tyrone Kane, after being bowled by him.

OUT! Geroge Munsey b Kane 0 (2)

So, Ireland have set a target of 167 for Scotland to win this encounter. Can the Scots win it all, or shall Ireland spin some magic with the ball to draw series level. Read my innings report here

LIVE CRICKET SCORE: Ireland 119/4 | Overs 15

BATSMEN: Kevin O’Brien 6 (4), Tyrone Kane 1 (1)

AND AGAIN!!!!!! Andy Balbrine doesn’t last long either as he too is run out unfortunately after scoring a healthy 31, but he needed to stay on the crease long enough to take the score to a respective total. And also, Stuart Thompson doesn’t last long as Richie Berrington gets him caught off Michael Leask. Tyrone Kane is the new man in.

OUT! Andy Balbrine run out 31 (26), Stuart Thompson c Leask b Berrington 6 (3)

LIVE CRICKET SCORE: Ireland 71/3 | Overs 10

BATSMEN: Andy Balbrine 11 (17), Kevin O’Brien 6 (4)

GONE!!!! Andrew Poynter has been dismissed for a healthy 36. Just as it seemed that he would be playing a big knock and was going for his shots, its Michael Leask, who gets him caught by Safyaan Sharif. Kevin O’Brien comes in as the new man.

OUT! Andrew Poynter c Sharif b Leask 36 (24)

LIVE CRICKET SCORE: Ireland 27/2 | Overs 5

BATSMEN: Andrew Poynter 5 (6), Andy Balbrine 5 (9)

A shaky start by the hosts again as they lose a couyple of quick early wickets in the form of Stuart Poynter for 11 and John Anderson for three. Andy Balbarine and Andre Poynter take control of the innings, but the early loss has surely pushed them at the backfoot, even if just for a while.

OUT! Stuart Poynter c Cross b Sharif 11 (10), John Anderson c Munsey b Main 3 (5)

Hello and welcome to CricketCountry’s live cricket blog of the third and final T20I of the three-match series between Ireland and Scotland, at Bready. This is Ayush Gupta, and I will be bringing you the live updates and live cricket scores of the match.

Hosts Ireland had a dreadful start to the series, as they lost the opening game on Thursday by six wickets. It was mostly a breeze of a chase for the visitors, barring the freak over by Tyrone Kane in which he took three wickets in the first five balls of his international career!

The Ireland middle order rallied together to guide their side to a competitive score of 146 for the loss of five wickets at the end of their allotted overs. While Kevin O’Brien remains the top-scorer with a 19-ball 30 that included four boundaries and a six, Stuart Thompson and Max Sorensen’s 42-run stand too came in handy for the hosts.

With the second T20I promising an interesting encounter, incessant rain played spoil sport and the game was washed out without a ball being bowled, and with Scotland winning the toss and electing to field first. With the third T20I rescheduled from Sunday to Saturday, it promises to be another thrilling encounter.

Squads:

Ireland: Kevin O’Brien(c), Andrew Balbirnie, Alex Cusack, George Dockrell, Tyrone Kane, Andy McBrine, Graeme McCarter, John Mooney, Andrew Poynter, Stuart Poynter(w), Max Sorensen, Paul Stirling, Stuart Thompson, Craig Young.

Scotland: Preston Mommsen(c), Richie Berrington, Matthew Cross, Freddie Coleman, Josh Davey, Con de Lange(w), Alasdair Evans, Michael Leask, Gavin Main, George Munsey, Safyaan Sharif, Craig Wallace, Mark Watt.
