Following the reports of the Australian team bus attacked after their win over hosts India in the second of the three-match T20I series at the Barsapara Cricket Stadium in Guwahati on Tuesday, a couple of people have been arrested by the Assam cops in connection to the incident. The incident happened outside the team hotel, when a stone was thrown at the Australian team bus, damaging the window shield of the bus. Luckily, no one was injured, as the seat next to the window was empty. However, it did scare the Australian players as Aaron Finch posted a picture of the broken window shield. Meanwhile, Assam Cricket Association (ACA) secretary Pradip Buragohain has informed that further investigations are being made into the matter and has promised extra layer of security in the future as the team bus leaves for Hyderabad. “We made every attempt to ensure a foolproof security but don’t know how this happened. It was near the team hotel and not at the crowded street near the stadium. The police have already arrested two persons and are investigating into the matter. I can assure that such incident won’t occur in future again. There will be a thick security cover when the Australian team leaves for Hyderabad,” said Buragohain, as reported by PTI.
