Pakistan‘s seasoned allrounder, Abdul Razzaq has blamed former chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Zaka Ashraf, for sidelining him from the national team since last year.
Razzaq, 33, who has finally won a recall to the national T20 squad for the series against South Africa, said it was Ashraf who had blown his differences with Mohammad Hafeez out of proportion.
The all-rounder had blamed Hafeez for dropping him for the semi-final of the World T20 Cup against Australia played last year in Sri Lanka.
Razzaq, after returning home with the team, told reporters that Hafeez should take responsibility for dropping him.
The PCB, which was run by Ashraf, issued a showcause notice to the all-rounder and fined him 100,000 rupees.

“It was not such a big issue but Zaka Ashraf made it into a big issue. I was fined and I apologised for my remarks and that should have been the end of the matter but because of Zaka Ashraf I was not selected in the team,” Razzaq added.
