Ahmed Shehzad became the first Pakistan batsman to score a century in Twenty20 Internationals (T20Is), during Pakistan’s Group 1 encounter of the ICC World T20 2014 against Bangladesh. Shehzad opened the batting for Pakistan in the T20 World Cup match at Dhaka on March 30.

Shehzad played a brilliant knock of 111 not out from just 62 balls. His innings was laced with 10 fours and five sixes.

Shehzad made his T20I debut against Australia at Dubai in 2009. Since then he has gone onto play 24 games for his country. He has three fifties to his name in the format.

And now, with his maiden century, he has joined the elite list of players like Brendon McCullum, Chris Gayle, Suresh Raina and a few others. Couple of days back, England’s Alex Hales too hit a century in the ongoing World T20 2014.
