Allan Donald, the South African bowling coach has been studying video material of Sri Lanka cricketers for his side’s better preparation for their upcoming Test and one-day series, starting December 15.

“I’m currently busy with my own planning. I’m looking at their key players – the core of their batting line-up, but there some players here and there whom I’m not very familiar with,” Donald was quoted by the Volksblad newspaper.

The former pace bowler pointed out that Sri Lanka all-rounder Angelo Mathews is a threat for his team.

“Mathews can take a game out of your reach. He is one of the batsmen against whom we’ll have to bowl aggressively. We can’t afford any loose deliveries against him as he is someone that can get the scoreboard rolling quickly,” said Donald.

The first Test match between the two sides begins on December 15 at Centurion, followed by second Test at Durban from December 26-30 and third at Cape Town from January 3-7.
