Australia will be aiming for 400 in their first innings on Day Two of third Ashes 2013-14 Test at Perth as they resume on 326 for six with a brilliant unbeaten century by Steve Smith. Mitchell Johnson is batting along with Smith on 39.
It was an evenly balanced contest halfway through the second session but a fine 124-run partnership between Smith and Brad Haddin (55) turned things around for Australia.
Smith played positively on Day One and reaped the benefits. With a fairly new ball, England pacers will be fresh to have a go at the batsmen once again and wrap up the Aussies innings. The visitors are trailing the series 0-2.
