Earlier, during the toss, Kohli praised Nehra’s illustrious international career, which has a span of almost 19 years. Although Nehrs’s career was plagued with multiple injures, leading to him being not a consistent member of the Indian squad; he has been a big asset for the aside till date, as he played a pivotal role in leading India to the ICC World Cup 2011 title win. “Nineteen years as a fast bowler is a great achievement. One of the smartest guys I’ve played with, always loves helping youngsters. He is someone who knew what to do in specific situations. Sad to see him go but it is happening at his home ground,” Kohli said during the toss.
