Australia have been reduced to 153 for six at lunch on Day Two of the First Test against West Indies at Dominica. The West Indian fightback against Australia was led and almost single-handedly scripted by leg spinner Devendra Bishoo. Australians lost three wickets in the session and Bishoo was responsible for all of them. LIVE SCORECARD: West Indies vs Australia 1st Test, Day 2 at Dominica

The West Indian fast bowlers were pretty decent too. In fact they built the pressure by bowling the right line and lengths, which made the Aussie batsmen attack Bishoo in turn leading to their own peril. Steven Smith was the first to get dismissed in the day. Australia were crawling right from the morning and Smith wanted to attack. LIVE UPDATES: West Indies vs Australia 1st Test, Day 2 at Dominica

He went after Bishoo, but got out stumped for 25. Shane Watson came out with intentions to counter-attack. He went for his shots and on 11, while trying to drive one off Bishoo to the cover boundary, he edged to second slip where Jason Holder took a neat catch. Brad Haddin was the next batsman to fall.

Haddin’s wicket was the most convincing of the lot. Bishoo pitched the ball on leg stump line with generous flight, the ball turned, beat Haddin and took the off stump leaving Australia in a very sticky position. Mitchell Johnson was the next batsman in to accompany Adam Voges.

Voges has been very cautious today, which was evidently the apt approach on this pitch. He has remained averse to taking unnecessary risks and is five runs short of scoring an impressive fifty on debut. Johnson, though not the most convincingly, batted through that session giving Voges some support at one end. In the process, Australia have taken a small 5-run lead, which they will look to extend when they walk back out.

Brief scores:

West Indies 148 (Shai Hope 36, Jason Holder 21; Mitchell Johnson 3 for 34, Josh Hazlewood 3 for 33) trail Australia 153 for 6 in 58 overs (Steven Smith 25, Adam Voges 45*; Devendra Bishoo 4 for 59) by 5 runs.
