The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) is likely to send a strong ‘A’ squad for the upcoming tour of India, wherein the team will play three one-day as well as two three-day games in Bengaluru and Mysore. The one-dayers (to be played on September 16, 18 and 20) and three-day game (September 27-29) against India A will be played at the Chinnaswamy Stadium, where as the other three-day game will be played against defending champions of Ranji Trophy, Karnataka, at Mysuru from September 22 to 24. In all probability, Mominul Haque, Bangladesh’s No. 3 in Tests, will be leading the side. Other cricketers like Soumya Sarkar, Anamul Haque, Sabbir Rahman, Nasir Hossain, Arafat Sunny, Rubel Hossian as well as Taskin Ahmed — who are important members of Bangladesh’s limited-overs set up — are also likely to be a part of this team.

However, chief selector Faruk Ahmed ensured that Hathurusinghe seemed to have no problem with the squad they picked, and didn’t have any objection. The current Bangladesh coach, who is on leave at this moment, was rather happy to see a squad combined with both youth and experienced cricketers..
