Sri Lanka got off to an excellent start to their match against Bangladesh in the 18th match of the ICC Cricket World Cup 2015 at Melbourne on Thursday. Lahiru Thirimanne and Tillakaratne Dilshan opened the innings for Sri Lanka and overcame a nervous start to get a fifty-run unbeaten stand. Kumar Sangakkara became only the fourth man in history to play 400 ODIs, and the third Sri Lankan to do so. Earlier, Sri Lanka won the toss and Angelo Mathews elected to bat first. There was a solitary change in the match, as Dinesh Chandimal came in to replace Jeevan Mendis, who is now out of the World Cup with an injury.
