Opener Evin Lewis will be back for West Indies’ opening Twenty20 International against Bangladesh on December 17 at Sylhet which will host the first of the three T20Is. Lewis hasn’t played international cricket since pulling out of the limited-overs series during West Indies’ recent tour of India. Lewis, who has played for Mumbai Indians in the Indian Premier League, has two ODI hundreds in 35 games.

The reigning T20 champions will also be reinforced with fast bowlers Kesrick Williams and Sheldon Cottrell. However, star allrounder Kieron Pollard and left-arm pacer Obed McCoy, who were part of the T20I squad in India, miss out with injury. Allrounder Andre Russell and offspinner Ashley Nurse will also miss the series as they have not yet fully recovered from the shoulder and knee injuries.
