BJP member Subramanian Swamy seems to be a person with multiple talents. He is widely reckoned as a “crusader of Lord Ram” by the Supreme Court for his petitions on Tuesday. Swamy took to a different field on Wednesday as he was paddling into the BCCI row. On Wednesday, Swamy petitioned the Supreme Court claiming that the Public Interest Litigation (PIL), which caused the Supreme Court getting into 213 Indian Premier League (IPL). scam later resulted in the appointment of Justice Lodha Committee for restructuring the Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) was financed by Lalit Modi. The latter was debarred from the BCCI for indiscretion in the IPL. Allegations of DDCA irregularities ‘vague and without basis,’ says Arun Jaitley

Swamy listed the urgency of the hearing and said that he himself was a cricketer in his college going days and was eager to see the game played in the right and fair manner.

As reported by TNN Swamy said, “But a fraud was played upon the court by the Cricket Association of Bihar (CAB) which brought in the petition leading to appointment of Lodha Committee recommending reforms in BCCI.” DDCA rubbishes allegations of “gross financial irregularities” on former chief Arun Jaitley

Swamy claimed that the whole litigation by CAB was financed and planned by Lalit Modi. This was not made known by the Supreme Court. “The present office-bearers used this PIL by CAB for their benefit in coordination with Lalit Modi,” he added.

The bench asked Swamy to reserve his opinions till the time his petition was listed. On Tuesday, Swamy cited his petition for constructing Ram temple in Ayodhya. He also gave a detailed list of petitions he had registered in the Supreme Court for the initiative of defending Ram Sethu and building of Ram temple. This moves from Swamy earned him as a “crusader for Lord Ram” by the bench.
