Brad Hogg, Australia’s left-arm spin bowler has bid goodbye to Big Bash League (BBL) 2015-16 season and his team Perth Scorchers. He announced this through his official Facebook page. Hogg played for Scorchers in this year’s BBL.  His team lost to Melbourne Stars in the semi-finals. Hogg took one wicket in his four overs in that Twenty20 (T20) match. Hogg played his last Test and ODI in 2008. He came back for ICC Cricket World T20 2016. Hogg played under the shadow of sensational Australian spinner Shane Warne and this was his tragedy. Thus, Hogg featured in only seven Tests in his entire cricketing career; although he did play 123 ODIs for Australia. Ashes 2015: David Warner backed by Brad Hogg

His previous post on Facebook created a bit of confusion on whether he has retired from all forms of cricket or not. It read, “Time to say goodbye to the Perth Scorchers and the BBL05. It was another great campaign with a team of terrific blokes. You win some, you lose some and the only thing you can do is keep working and improving and hopefully you get a different result next year. Congratulations to the Sydney Thunder – coming from the bottom to the win the tournament is just great cricket! Thanks as always to all the Furnace Fans – you make it special year after year.”
