On the other hand, Sri Lanka were beaten by New Zealand 0-2 and are currently without their usual captain Angelo Mathews, who has missed out on the series. In his absence the side will be led by the fast-improving Dinesh Chandimal. Live Cricket Blog and Updates: India vs Sri Lanka 2015-16, 1st T20I at Pune
The match is being played at Pune, which has recently been granted Test status as well. The groundsmen will want to make a pitch that produces excellent cricket to give a good account of themselves, so one could expect a track with a lot of runs but something in it for the bowlers as well. India are expected to win the series but Sri Lanka could take them by surprise as well. With the Asia Cup and the World T20 coming up, one can expect a few bolts from the blue.
